Admission Requirements
Academic Background
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 4.0 (Bulgarian system) or equivalent
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Professional Experience
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience (internships count)
- Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship or innovation
- Programming experience in at least one modern language
Language Requirements
- The programme is taught in Bulgarian
- When international students enrol, classes are held in English and lecturers support their full participation
- TOEFL/IELTS certificates accepted for international students
Important for applicants
Applicants with foreign diplomas
You must follow the diploma recognition procedure: alongside your application to an FMI master's programme, submit documents to the Rectorate of Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski for recognition of higher education obtained abroad. The procedure takes around 2 months from the confirmation that all required documents have been provided, so start it as early as possible.
Professional bachelor's and 3-year bachelor's degrees
Holders of a “professional bachelor” degree, and holders of a bachelor's degree with a 3-year duration (180 credits), may only apply to master's programmes in the same professional field with an approved 2-year curriculum of no fewer than 120 credits.
Tuition-paying places
Applicants for tuition-paying places must have a higher-education diploma grade no lower than “good”. The average grade is calculated from the average of the semester examinations and the state examination results.
